I’m doing absolutely “nothing” this weekend – except for reading. I have to admit, I love days like these when you don’t have anything planned and can just escape into a good book (or two) for hours and hours.
My husband is in bed nursing a bad back, and I’m parked on the couch. It’s the “il dolce far niente” (the sweetness of doing nothing), as they said in the movie I watched yesterday, Eat, Pray, Love (also another good book, by the way).
So I’m into these two books that I bought last month when I was in Washington D.C.
One is for learning, one is for fun:
“Hope Diamond: The Legendary History of the Cursed Gem” by Richard Kurin.
“Where’d you go, Bernadette” by Maria Semple.
Happy reading! Enjoy the weekend 🙂
